Does anybody test the manual focus and compared with the Canon S2?. Which one is better?.
Does is true that Sony H1 has only 5 preset position of manual focus?

I would expect the manual focus of both of these cameras to be sketchy at best as they both use an EVF. I'm not sure (since I don't own one) but I assume the manual focus on the Sony would be similiar to other sony cameras, and be based on preset focusing distances rather than physically turning a focus ring or dial.

The Sony H1 MF has around 100 steps and a focus distance scale (2cm-infinity): http://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/H1/H1DAT.HTM It also has an "expanded focus" option for magnifying the display 2X while using MF, similar to the S2, except the entire display is magnified. I don't know why most sites still list 5 presets. Must be from some very preliminary specs.

Therealso appears to be over2000 spot AF areas in flexible spot AF mode. http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/re...ssage=13975525

The manual focus on the H1 takes a little bit getting used to especially with the expanded zoom on. after a few minutes of practicing with it, it works pretty well
