I apologize if this is a bit offtopic but didn't want to start a new thread... I'm looking at getting a bigger camera to compliment my DSC-T7, preferably one with image stablization and 12x zoom. Does the H1 have night shot like the V3 does? My roommate owned a F717 and I thought playing around with the night shot on it was a lot of fun, but I can't find any reference to it in the H1 spec sheets.

Thanks for the information. I know you also own a DSC-T7, would you mind doing a comparison pic between the two cameras if you get some free time? I'd appreciate it... thanks.

Steve has posted his H1 sample shots at:

http://www.steves-digicams.com/2005_...1_samples.html

One thing I noticed with the H1 was definite CA (Chromatic Aberration) in some of the shots..particularly DSC00107.JPG.

If you look at high contrast areas...like the rigging, the metal frame holding the canopyand particularly the shadow on the bow of the first boat, you will see that the left side has a greenish tint and the right side has a reddish tint. This is typical CA because (unlike PF which isONLY purple and not caused by the same thing anyway) CA is multi-colored. (The Canon S2 shots also display the same CA effect.)

Is this a deal breaker for the H1? No because the effects are so minimal thatI doubt it wouldspoil your shots. But there are picky people who will fret about it.

Yeah, basically that and the use of memory sticks are the only thing I dislike about the H1, I'm pretty tempted otherwise... the Canon and Panasonic seem to have less CA but have their negatives as well.
