Hello,

Yesterday I bought a Sony W5 (my first digital camera) and I think it's a good piece of technology. But as I switched through the different modes I noticed that in manual mode the shutter speed can only be adjusted between 1/1000 and 1/8 seconds, though the handbook declares that it can be adjusted up to 30 seconds. Is my camera faulty, is a shutter speed slower than 1/8 seconds only possible under certain circumstances or what else might I do wrong?
Thanks in advance.

I hope you understand me. English isn't my mother-tongue.

Everything's alright now! It was a bug! I brought the camera back to the dealer, he checked it and I got a new one without problems. This one works fine so far.
