This question is geared for DSC-H1 owners. Any regrets / complaints? Also, as anyone tried the Wide Angle 0.8x and Telephoto 1.7x conversion lenses? How is image quality? Can the full zoom range be used with these conversion lenses?

Is there any way of using an external flash with the DSC-H1?

Hello,
I love the H1.

I've had mine for about 3 or 4 months now... I got it just when they came out.
I've used it quite a bit for both photo and video.

The photos are great, no complaints.

My favorite feature is the incredible zoom it has. (See the thread on zoom photos taken w/ the H1).

no complaints here.
e

oh, haven't tried the lens attachments.

Hi, i have him for 5 months now. No complains at all. Ihave no conversion lenses (yet). A good example for the zoom you can find further in this forum. Look at the moon photo, verry nice , i tried it myself and have the same result.

If you compare different cameras, you always have positive and negative elements.

I looked at some comparing pics with a canon, and if u have a good look, some details are sharper with the h1.

Have a look here : http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/sonydsch1/

A verry nice cam, that's what i think about it.

I really like my DSC-H1 camera. No complaints at all.

I sometimes use a small slave flash that fires by the flash from the camera to add a little fill.

I got my H1 a few months ago and I am extremely happy with its performance. I am still having difficulty in taking photos of people ( due to my inexperience i guess ) but other than than I am happy with my camera. Over time through experience, I know I will be able to learn how to use the other features of the camera through trial and error.

Here's the link to my gallery. Almost all of the photos in my gallery were taken with my H1 except for maybe 10 photos.

I really want to get myself the telephoto ( VCL-DH1758 ) and close-up ( VCL-M3358 )lens but still need to get feedback from those who have those lenses. If any of you are users of these two lenses, can you please, please share your reviews.

Thanks :bye:

The only thing thatI am slightly disappointed with is the small viewfinder. I always used the viewfinder on my other Sony. On this one I've now gotten used to using the LCD screen.

I love the camera. It is the perfect size for me and I'm very happy with the photo quality.

I also considered the comparable Canon and Panasonic 12X zooms but have always had good results with Sony so I guess there is a little brand loyalty there.
