Default re:dsc 72 & movies it produces

hi,
i hav read the specs of dsc p-72 and they sound impressive . Would the quality of the vga movie becomparable to a camcorder is what i am waiting for. The other contender in the market as far as movies of vga res. are concerned is fuji s602 which undoubtedly produces stunning stills also . Since Sony carries a wt. along its name and wrth boasting r&d facilities , it shld b gd. How d ya feel bout it ?

The video capability is more like vcd (320 X 240) quality, not true dvd quality(720 X 480). I also think the framerate is much lower (16 versus 29). The P72 does sound like a good value at $329.

I was wrong with my earlier message on the video capability. The camera can capture at 640 X 480, but the frame rate is only 16 (choppy video). You can record up to 44 minutes with a 1 GB Media Stick Pro.

thanx, so it seems that i will have to contend with 602z . the camera is gd no doubt but the looks of the same seem to be repelling me frm buying it . i just hope that the fuji guys give it a new feel .
