Default Question about memory sticks...

I have a Sony DSC-P31 and two 64mb memory sticks (yep, that much storage for a 2mp cam!). It seems that one produces a better image quality than the other. I've never tested it by taking the same picture on both sticks. From what I understand about digital media, it shouldn't be possible for one to be better than the other. Is it just a coincidence that I've taken better pictures when I happened to be using the one stick, or could it be that one is better than the other?

It doesn't matter whether you use a Sony, Lexar or Sandisk brand Memory Stick -- they all record the same image data.

Strictly coincidental I'd say 8)

Since I am on this topic finally and have a Sony DSC-P31, I saw another post saying a user had a 128MB stick.

My question is, what is the max mem stick useable for the DSC-P31 and which brand(s) are reputible enough to trust for endurnace and performance?

Thanks.

Well its the camera that creates the image not the memorystick. THe ms is just a storage device like a hard disk, it justs saves the image you shot. Maybe again one of them is your lucky ms so use that!!!
I believe that the oldest sony 'p series ' digicams can use memory sticks up to 128 mbs! I dont think you need more! You just cant use the MS Pro that can store up to 1 giga. I have a p8 and i'm gonna buy a lexar 128mb MS. Its a good brand . Buy the one you find cheaper!!!

I have a Sony DSC-P31 digital camera and want to upgrade the memory stick.

Does this camera support the Sony MSA-128S2?
Is the Sony MSA-128A the recommended media?

Cheers,
Johnny
