Does anybody know where I can get the orginal bayonet style lens hood for the Sony DSC-F828. I looked on the Sony website and found nothing. I picked up a rubber hood but I would like to replace the lost original. Thanks.

Thanks Henry....

I just ordered a new lens hood from the link you gave me. Thanks!

I was shooting a wedding rececption for afamily friendand took the hood off to use the on camera flash and left it sitting on thea tableinstead of putting it in my camera bag, as I had been doing all evening and then walked off and forgot it. I thought I was out of luck replacing it. Thanks again.....John

TIP:

Tie the ends of a 20-30 inch piece of parachute-cord or thick shoestring into a circleabout 9-10" diamaeter. Loop it through itself and your pants beltloop.

When you remove your F828 lenshood, drop the free end of the loop through the middle of the lenshood and loop it back up and over the lenshood. Now the lenshood will conveniently hang from your belt and can be quickly released ... just don't sit on it or lean on it and break it!

Thats how I conveniently hang a roll of duct, electrical, etc.tape to keep it handy if working on a ladder, etc. and the trickworks very well with my various lenshoods.
