Default Is F717 good for taking photos of small objects ?

Hi, I am now having a P5 and is extremely dissatisfied with its capability in taking fine photos of small objects with height as small as 1/2 inch. Can the F717 do the job for me ?

Well, according to the camera specs, F717 can take macro shots from 0.8 to 19.7 inches. But, you were trying to get as close as 0.5 inches so the camera may be a little out of focus.

Btw, P5 has a macro range of 3.9", so you won't be satisfied here either.

I believe he was talking about objects .5" in size, not that he wants to get that close to them.

I don't own an F717, but I have used one, and I have found that it reveals a tremendous amount of detail in closeup shots. Check the specifications to find out how close it can actually focus, though.
