Anyone have one yet? Read the review on here. I also played with one in a store. I really like it. I also looked at SLRs but with the cost I think I want the R-1. I have a Sony V3 which I love but still this will be a big step up so I think I will be happy with it. But I wanted to know what everyone else thinks. I also looked in to getting a Nikon D200 but I don't think I want to spend that much right now.

Hello,

I have my R-1 since last Friday.

Still testing it. Too early to speak with confidence. Handles easier than my F-828.

Raw is perferct for my needs. The buffer of 2 shots is better than how my F-828 would freeze up until the Raw was written to the card. Yes, my D60 has fast raw times but I don't have to carry lenes, etc.

The range of 24-120 seems good to me. I used a Canon 28-105 for years.

The 10 MP is great. I would have preferred the 4/3 ratio, but I am used to the 3/2.

For those who wonder why go for 10MP? Here are two shots of a bride taken with my R-1 as a distant bystander. The first is the original scene, the next a very close crop of the original image:

Regards, Nicholas

Here is the close crop:

Not perfect, just a snapshot; but I think it shows the value of 10MP.
