Default Sony DSC-F717 Digital camera and the new Memory Stick Pro

I've read the specs and I know the new Memory Stick Pro is compatible with the Sony DSC-F717 digital camera. I have also read about the pro's enhanced write speed.

My question is, will this result in any significantly noticeable improvement in the DSC-F717s performance. Primarily the shutter lag. It seems logical it would help but there might be a bottleneck besides write speed that I'm not taking into consideration.

Thanks,
Wintermoon

Sorry but no, Sony specifically stated that the F717 could use the Memory Stick Pro cards but could not make use of the faster I/O of the new cards.

I've had other Digital cameras and I know the DSC-F717 shutter lag isn't sever but it would have been nice.

Thank you,

what's the model after the f717? is the f717 being phased out? i'm about to purchase one and one thing i'm considering is the shutter lag.
