I couldn't decide between the Casio and the Sony, so I bought both and have just taken pictures with both.

I have an idea of which set of photo's I prefer, but I was looking to seek all you camera boffins advice

Here are the Casio photos (Cost me £135)

and these are the Sony's! (Cost me £150)

Any advice or photo techy boffin talk!?

Once you already have your preference, it does not make sense to comment.
You have definitely made the right choice.

Cheers

Simon is right. Once you have your preference its difficult to sway you away from it. Having said that I will give you my opinion anyway. I prefer the Sony over the Casio. The Sony pictures appear sharper to me than te Casio's. Also It looks like the Casio has a Blueish cast to the Pictures.

I thought the sony as well, as the pictures seem less grainy, colours more vibrant and less processed.

However the casio lets you zoom in during videos, very nice overall package, bigger screen e.t.c but if it doesn't take good pictures...there is little point

I decided against the Casio and went with the W50 and one of the reasons was I much prefered the AC wall charger of the Sony over the cradle charging of Casio's. The AC charger is much more portable and I can charge my battery in the car with an inverter.

I still prefer the quality of photos that the W50 produces, but the cradle killed it for me. Just my two cents (or euros?)
