There's a notice on another board that Sony has recalled the H2 because it would only work with Sony-brand memory sticks. I'm about to buy one...has this happened already, or must I buy the Sony sticks?

Please advise...and thanks.

Already happened. Any H2 you buy now should not have the problem. If it does, you can go to Sony's website and download the latest firmware which will correct the problem.

Thank you.

So, I'm assuming I can buy any brand Memory Stick? [I've never had a camera that used that format, so I don't really know too much about it...except that I've read that ScanDisk makes a memory stick that writes faster than the Sony, which is always good when trying to take shots quickly]

Actually, write times don't become important until your camera's buffer fills or unless you want to take video clips at the highest quality. If video is not that important, buy the cheapest card you can find (name brand that is)
