Can anyone tell me what the slow synchro flash is best used for? I've been just using the auto flash for now. Thanks

See

Basically the flash still freezes and illuminates the main subject, but the slow shutter helps to capture the background whichunder normal flash would be completely black (or very dim)

i use slo sync when using a fill flash setting. Basically trying to illuminate some darkened areas or when there is a bright backing and need to illuminate foreground. Usualy have flash set to about -2ev
