Hi Everyone,

I already have a TCON-14B. Currently I am planning to buy a superzoom camera and Sony DSC-H2 is one of my favourite. The other one is Panasonic Z7. I would like to use my TCON-14B with my new camera and the panasonic one seems to be a bit light for a heavy 14B. Do you think I can use it with H2? If it is possible, is there any other adapter I need to buy?

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,

K

Since you already have the Tcon there should be no problem using it with the H2 assuming the tcon has 58mm threads or you have the needed stepup/down rings.

Many Sony users like using a 3rd party adapter tube for the H series cameras, such as the pemaraal tube since its metal and you can specifiy the finish , matte or polished.

Its also slighty shorter that the supplied Sony tube thus helps reduce vignetting when stacking 2 filters etc

See http://www.pemaraal.com/H1acc.html

Thanks. TCON-14B has 62mm. So I need to buy one 58-62mm step up ring. Is that right? Now, when I look for step up rings, they always mention that those rings are for filters. So is it safe to use them for a rather heavy (TCON-14B is 475 g) lens? I am probably asking a novice question, but I am also a novice.

Thanks again for your help.
