Hello All,

I am getting very comfortable with my R-1. It took me a long
time to gain confidence in learning what I see in the EVF produces
a good image out of camera.
These shots show how versatile the R-1 is in use.
The overhead ( my head and the subject's head), ground level, wide and tele shots would not have been possible with my D60.
The R-1 enabled me to capture moments as they occurred rather than have to climb a step stool, get on the ground, or take time to change lenses while moments occur before me:

Of course I have accepted trade-offs:

No OVF, No tele >120 mm, Slow Raw write times, Small buffer.

With Sony going the DSLR route, I hope/think that Fuji will abandon their DSLR and in its place produce a camera like the R-1 with true professional
parameters. They would take over the Wedding/Portrait market in less than 2years, IMHO.

Posted these comments to provide feedback on my R-1 and to prompt Fuji to get moving.

Regards, Nicholas

I just got the Sony R1! I love it!!!!!! The pictures I have taken so far are beautiful. I haven't ordered anything for it yet other than a tripod but I plan on it soon. I'm very much in love with this camera. Everything I wanted from an SLR without the cleaning pains haha.

Congratulations Mrssharp !!!!

Glad you got a tripod.

But #1 item to get is a B&W UV filter, ( I always use B&W ).

You need a 67mm UV filter; put it on and never take it off ( unless you are using a Polarizer, etc.).

Good shooting and post your links.

Regards, Nicholas
