from what i have been reading you are more than likely correct. You said you got the raynox wide angle, do you find the .66 gives you a wide enough view for everything?

Garbage, bought it from ebay before I knew what I was doing (never did the research) , threw it out (*)and got the DH1758 instead..


* Threw it out a 1st floor window (we useground flr-first floor etc in the Uk so 2nd floor for the Americans) and it made a nice crash as it hit concrete..

I hope you did not damage the concrete:GThe Raynox DCR-PRO6600 is an awesome WA lens.

no effects from the step doown to 52mm? and is the .66 wide enough? Do you also have close up lenses from sony?

I bought the Raynox 52mm adapter, which causes absolutely no vignetting. The step down will cause vignetting.

and as far as the WA, is the .66 wide enough? Do you also have close up lenses from sony?

I find 0.66 to be wide enough without hardly any distortion. If you need it to be wider, you should consider a fish eye but those lenses cause quite a bit of distortion. I also have the Sony VCL-M3358 (close up or macro, however you want to call it). It's another awesome lens. You can use it alone or inbetween the H5 and the DH1758tele to obtain incredible macro shots w/o having to get your nose on the subject.
