I just read a review, where a poster mentioned that the H5 could take stills during video, like the Canon's. Is this true? I couldn't find the info. on line anywhere, and would appreciate it, if you could fill me in.

Thanks.

Interesting idea, but I don't know how you could do it with the H5. Trying it just now with mine, I pressed the shutter release to start the video. Couldn't figure out how to take a still, so Ipressed shutterrelease again. Thevideo stopped, of course. I found a review that said the Canon S3 IS has dual controls for still and video, which does allow that.

You can capture stills from your resulting video in software, but I couldn't figure a way to do it with the camera during playback. Of course I have not resorted to the manual...!

You can view the movie on computer monitor and then do a print screen, past the picture to an editor software, crop the picture and you will have adequate resolution and quality.
