TG as usual lovely sharp shots. Not such a feeling of movement as you have captured in the past apart from the last two, but cool none the less.

Great shots. I am always curious as to what lens someone used in great shots.
Thanks for any more info. ![]() |

Lenses used for these photos were Canon EF 300mm f4 L (some with Canon 1.4x TC) and the last one was taken with Canon EF 70-200 f4 L.

knd,
Images were sharpened with Fred Miranda 20D CSpro (Photoshop plugin, default setting) and then resized for web page (no crops). TG. |

I think its more difficult to get the blurred effect from a head on perspective since the car is coming towards you instead of moving across the frame. I find that you need a longer lens for those headon shot since you are usually either looking down the straight or looking at a particular corner(ie hopping a curb or something). Great shots, I can't wait for the racing season here to start to give my lenses some workout.... |

I agree with RacingManiacabout getting blurred effectwithhead on shot as cars aremoving towards youand higher shutters speed are required to get car in focus. I find with low shutter speedsa lot of the time I will only get part of the car in focus (shutter open longer andcar moving towards camera). With panningcars stay in same focal plane, lower shutter speeds can be used and car will be in focus.
