Folks,
It's been awhile since I've posted - the Fall was crazy busy! Here's my first crack at HS Hockey. :O Shot center-ice behind the glass, at an angle towards the goal. New Camera/Lens too: Nikon D200 (replaced a Nikon D50) Nikon 70-200 f/2.8 VR Settings: Shutter Priority Auto WB ISO 1600 No flash Approx. 135mm COMMENTS/CRITIQUE WELCOME - thanks for any help you can provide. |
Hi SSL,
Welcome back. It seems that you were working in an environment that is just a little too dark to get a good shot.Youare already at 1/250th and f2.8 on ISO 1600 so not much more you can do but even so this is under exposed quite a lot especially if you look at the face. I have not shot any Ice Hockey so can't give too much more advice that try flash (if you can get away from the glass) or find a brighter rink (if you are feeling rich also a brighter lens would help...... I know I would like one). Mark |
Very cool shot, although you could probably boost the exposure by 1/2 a stop (brighten it up a bit)
Keep shooting! -- Terry |
