Welcome to Steve's and to the Sports forum!
Yep, the kid sure can jump. On the photo itself, you've caught some nice action. Exposure and white balance look pretty good. There are a couple things though that will improve your next outing: 1. Watch your horizons - the shot is crooked. That's easily fixed via cropping in PP. 2. Need a faster shutter speed. There's a bit too much motion blur. 3. Sharpness & detail - especially at high ISOs it's beneficial to frame tightly so you retain as much sharpness and detail as possible. That combined with the motion combines to leave less detail in the important areas - namely the face. For small sized posts like this one it isn't that big of a deal - but for larger web versions or for prints that loss of sharpness/detail really shows up. Still, a nice shot. Just some things to keep in mind for next time so you can make a good shot even better! Look forward to seeing more of your work! |

Impressive jumping ability you rarely see that in such a young kid - nice form too! We'll have to keep an eye on that kid.

Wow. Great action shot but not as great as his jumping ability and body control for somebody so young. He cant be more than 10 or 11 almost looks photoshoped.Really excellent picture and great effort by the kid. Perhaps we'll be able to say we saw him when.:?
