Default Action at the Camp Draft

G'day all

Stopped in a Queensland outback town the other day to discover a camp draft in progress. Here's a couple of images for your thoughts

1- "Here we go - I've gotcha"

2- "Come on - get over"

3- "Let's get im"

4- "Thru the gate and we're done"

as always feedback welcome
Phil

G'day Graham

In Oz - and maybe elsewhere - Camp Drafting is a rural sport that has developed from stockmen & women trying their horsemanship skills against each other. A calf [in this case] is selected from a mob of several dozen, 'cut out' from the others and then chased around an oval

In the chasing process the horse rider must take the calf around a figure-of-eight course around 2- posts and then go diagonally across the oval and take the calf thru 2- side by side posts called 'the gate'

The rider has a max of 60 seconds to do the routine after separating the beast to be used, and in the competition is awarded points for various parts of the exercise

These events are carried out across the country and some carry points for larger state-wide competitions, culminating in a major event which this year had $100,000 as the major prize

Hope this helps
Phil

ps: this better?
