Great shots...I particularly like the Camaro...I had a '67 Camaro RS Coupe, 4 speed, 327 cubic inch V8..back in '68-69. Great acceleration...no brakes though...9.5 inch drums all 4 wheels...lol

Nice set of shots, these bring back some childhood memories of watching Bathurst all day on a Sunday watching these legends go around.

TGP, it's good to have an another shooter on board with an interest in cars. Tom (aka TG and from Australia, hence the confusion) is one of the best so well worth checking out his work. He shoots with lower shutter speeds which really helps get the feel of movement rather than freezing the action. Do you get out to many events? Looking to seeing more from you. |

Thank you all.
Mark1616 ; Thank you for the welcome. I have been watching Toms postings for some time now. Very impressive work. The SuperGP on the Gold Coast was the first event I had been to in 18 years and the only reason I went was the cars pictured. The real Legends of the sport here in Australia. Unfortunately being a street circuit, to see over the fences you had to get up in a stand which limited the positions I could shoot from and I had to compromise. I could have killed them for putting that hideous yellow Nikon wall where it was. It literally glowed which did not help things at all. After $105 general admission for one day and another $340 to get in the stand I will not be going back again unless there are more legends present. I love my motorsport but will just stick to photographing Hot Rod shows instead. Much more pocket and family friendly as everyone can afford to go. For Moto GP or Formula 1 it would be worth the expense but not for the Australian V8s on their own. TG; you should try to get over the ditch to New Zealand at the end of January to the Bruce McLaren memorial meetings. $200 access all area passes for the 6 days of the 2 weekends. (Fri, Sat, Sun at Hampton Downs and Fri, St, Sun at Pukekohe) Over 400historic F1 , Can Am, F5000s, 60s and 70s Touring Cars plus more. Link for details here; http://www.nzfmr.co.nz/index.php?osC...bvnikffsnt05t2 I would love to go but school holidays are the busiest time at work so out of the question. Regards Tony |
