I had the opportunity to shoot some of the GSK Holiday Invitational over the weekend. This tournament has some of the top teams with top recruits in the country, including the #1 uncommitted senior (rivals.com ranking).. All shot with Canon 50D, 70-200mm f/2.8, ISO3200, 1/400th, Manual, f/2.8. Here are some of the results - C&C welcome:
1. Ryan Kelly - Ravenscroft, Duke recruit ![]() 2. Matt Wilson - Ravenscroft - UNC-Wilmington recruit ![]() 3. CJ Leslie - Word of God - NC State recruit (Junior) ![]() 4. John Wall - Word of God - uncommitted - #1 prospect in the country ![]() |

Greats shots, just wondering how you like the new 50D. And if you upgraded from a 40D or what camera body you had before.

The 50D has been a really great upgrade from the 350D (Rebel XT) for me.In particular I was looking for better autofocus, high ISO support, and fast burst rates and the camera has definitely delivered for me there.
All that said, though - if I had it to do over again, I think I would give much more consideration to a full-frame camera. I do mostly sports shooting and it would be really nice to have that extra range on the close end. Not sure what I would do, but just something I would consider.. Thanks for the comment.. |
