Just a shot from the sidelines but thought I could post it and see what you thought.

Great shot. Timing was terrific, and all those eyes in the background only emphasize the point of interest.
On my monitor, it was a bit lacking in contrast. It might do better with just a bit of more. Well done. |

Very nice capture. I agree, colors look a bit faded - try to darken the blacks a little and bump up contrast and saturation. But those are easy things to fix - you already got the tough part right

To me, it looks a little tightly cropped. The shot needs a little more at the bottom and the top.
Also, the background looks too busy so that it's hard to find the athlete in amongst it all. Try shooting with a wider aperture to blur the background. Nice catch of the guy at the top of his jump. Terry |

Any photoshop elements ideas on how to blur it to help the pic. |

Actually you can dodge and burn using Elements 2.0 and make the background around the athlete darker.
As for blurring the background, there's probably a way to do it, but it would get real technical. -- Terry |

The picture is a good picture, but I not sure it's worth the kind of time it would take. If you've never done dodge and burn or in this case a dodge and blur this wouldn't be the place to start. Hey. Perfectly timed! dale |
