Really great panning!

Those are fantastic shots. Last shot is amazing. The first looks like it's a bit of a downward angle which takes away from it but still great shots all.

Sharp, great colors and great sense of motion!

Very professional looking sports photos. I especially like the last one. Has great frame filling, impact !

I'd be curious to know what camera body, lens , f-stop, shutter speed.

R_Mutt,

These are really something! Please tell me these are crops, because if you framed this tight...at these speeds...with this kind of sharpness...WOW! Reminds me of spy's bobsled photos. At least tell me you had a few bad ones you threw away.

Thanks for showing.

Chris

Thanks for comments.

I do shoot tight and cropping is not much if anything. Cropping on 1 is maybe 90% of original, no.2 their is no crop, no.3 again about 90% of original, no.4 no crop.

I'd say shooting in the 1/160th to 1/80th range my percentage of "keepers" is around 75-85%, that's with the 20D. I upgraded to the MKIIN at the end of the season last year and haven't had the chance to use it for any cycles. I'd expect that percentage to go up a bit and can't wait :-D

Thanks for the info. A buddy has a 30D and I have to say these Canons are very impressive.

First rate all the way! What size print would you be able to get from the original picture?

R_Mutt Mar 19, 2007 12:53 PM

thanks!

I've made a 13x19 of that photo for the portfolio and it turned out beautiful. I'd have noreservations going up to say 24x36 which is the max print sizewe offer.

However, I did just get an order from someone wanting to put one of our photos on their race trailor and the pic they want isn't nearly as nice as that one. I'm interested to see how that turns out. So I guess the skies the limit for print size.
