I shot 5 different games this weekend, ready for a rest!

Two games from the BBL(top league in the UK)

Two games from a schools league and a really different game.Wheelchair basketball.

Has anyone shot the wheelchair game??

It is a great game to watch and shoot

The players come in all differnt shapes and sizes

But they are very fit boys n girls

This one form the BBL game was published in the local evening paper, sadly in B&W though

C&C welcomed

Hey Frisky. Shot #2 is a nice shot. Shot 1 is a bit crooked and way too much deadspace on the sides. Shot 3 is nice action but way too much motion blur. Seeing as you're already at 6400 and 1.8 the only option left to get acceptable shots is external lighting - either flash or strobes. Are you allowed to use them? You should look into it. I think you're missing out on a lot of shots because of the very poor lighting and there isn't a camera/lens combination that's going to give you the shutter speeds you need for these adult athletes (where even 1/500 shows a lot of motion blur).

Cheers John, sadly we are not allowed flash or strobes so we just gotta get on with things. Both those venue's are much better lit than my home venue.

Just got to keep practicing.Off to the National Indoor Arena on sunday, best venue in the country, lets hope the lights are the best too!
