Here are a few shots from this weekends volleyball tournament - played in a warehouse (literally) with sport court put on the floors. All shot with 50D, ISO6400, f/2.8, 1/400s.. I considered using the 85mm f/1.8, but wanted to try some more ISO6400 and just love the zoom...

Question on high ISO. I'm returning to a venue I shot last year with my 350D, f/2.8, ISO1600, 1/250. Now that I have the ability to go to high ISO up to 12,800, I'm not sure how to use it... I know I want to get shutter speeds at least 1/400 and preferably higher, but at what point would you stop:Here are some scenarios based on settings from last year (assume f/2.8).. Where would you stop?

ISO1600, 1/250

ISO2000, 1/320

ISO2500, 1/400

ISO3200, 1/500

ISO6400, 1/800 - assume 1/3 stop overexposed to help reduce noise

C&C Welcome on the pics:

I would let your shutter speed dictate your ISO. In other words, find a shutter speed that freezes the action and adjust your ISO to it. Nice shots by the way.
