Steal of 2nd base...
![]() ![]() Throw to first... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And, just because I thought it was cool - another pitcher shot. Sometimes it's nice to have 1/8000 shutter speeds: ![]() I'd like to say I caught the release point on my first try - and, as far as any of you know, I succeeded ![]() |

John looks like you got some lovely weather for these and the sun was not making things over harsh (or was it the skill of the photographer allowing you to control these things LOL :blah
![]() I guess for shots like the first sequence you use on of the outside/diagonal focus points or in this situation have you gone for multi point? I don't need to tell you that you have done a good job as ever so I won't bother....... ![]() |

Mark,
Ah, here in lies the beauty of cfn-4. A pre-focus on the base (or better yet on a pitch a few moments earlier when the shortstop went to cover just in case) and I just sit and wait for everyone to get into place for my shot. How nice of them to show up at the exact place I'm focused at :G By the way, I tend to shoot softball/baseball with all focus points - in all honesty the 20d seems to perform much better for me when I do that. It's just with soccer and football I can't do that because of all the players in between. But for this sport, all points works very well. |

Good shots. I like shooting sequence shots, you never know what you are going to capture. Excellent timing (or a lot of luck) on the last shot:-). Well done. I don't get the chance to do any baseball/softball for about 3 weeks yet so I am a little green.

Baseball I think is tougher because you don't have the circular arc that's easy for your eye to key on - and the whole delivery motion is a bit quicker. Still, I'm shooting my first baseball of the season tonight. So if I get all the other shots I want, maybe I'll try to do the same thing there. |
