Default English Non-League Football

Hi all,

Been a while since I posted on here, mainly because I have been off following the advice and guidance of John, Mark1616 and JimC and just going out and getting practice, practice, practice!

Anyway, I finally took the plunge, risked a divorce and purchased a Sigma 150-500mm lens for my Nikon D90.

It made its debut this past Saturday at my teams game (Harrogate Town), most of the match I spent trying to remember that the focusing ring operated the other way round the other lenses that I have - so as a consequence missed a lot of the action by either zooming in too far or not enough - feel like an newbie again!!!!

Anyway, here are a couple of shots and I must admit that I am really, really pleased with the lens, it was a crazy day weather wise (as it always is in this country!) but so far, I would really recommend the lens (although not the wifey nagging that comes with the quite sane idea to buy it!)

Constructive feedback always a positive!

Great shots. I would try a bit tighter crops for more impact on the action.

Some nice shots fella! (last one a little soft tbh!),
I believe a Physio I know has just joined you! "Rachel Davis".

I mainly shoot Premier/Championship Footy now but still hold my conference licence as the grass roots game is full of passion & if I had the time would still be shooting it! . Kind regards Graham.

Shots 2 and 5 are my favorites. Nice action in both (especially number 2).
