On September 5 I had the honor to fly as a guest of the Blue Angels on their C-130, Fat Albert, as part of the Great State of Maine Air Show. The crew are all U.S. Marines and the 10 minute performance is amazing. Taken with a Canon XT w/ Sigma 28-70 F/2.8 zoom, except #2 taken with a Canon 30D w/Canon 70-300 IS lens. The shots looking outside were taken through a plexi-glass window and we were experiencing around 2g's. The camera was a little difficult to handle when we were pulling g's.

#4 Fat Albert's shadow, again 60 degree bank

Thanks Mark,

Press credentials help. I was given the chance to interview one of the Blue Angels and after the interview their public relations person asked if we wanted a ride on Fat Albert during their part of the show. He did not have to ask twice. There were about 20 others on board plus three reporters. We topped out near 3 g's on take off and was weightless for several seconds during the landing. It was a great ride that lasted about 10 minutes.
