Good shots. The only thing I would like to see is in the first one and that is not cutting off the bottom of the feet, I think a little more centered would be good. The other two are great. In the second one the choice of shutter speed showed the action with the ball and bat a little blurred and the batter in focus. The third shot is a classic.

I know how you feel shooting threw the chain link fence. Patients and many pictures later are sure to deliver many keepers.
These pictures are nice. Try to capture the pitchers fulll motion to the plate and look at the ebow and shoulder strain on these young kids. (OUCH) The strain is incredible, be carefull if your son pitches. Keep up the good work I look foward to viewing more pics. From another baseball dad and fan. Angel. P.S. I am looking to purchase a dslr this summer for this purpose. Can you shoot some night games if you can so I can review the pics under the same conditions. |

Flash is not allowed in most leagues, also you will blind the player. The flash is only good for a few feet anyway.
Try high iso, appeture lowest # (wide open), shutter around 1/500 to stop the ball and the bat. Then you will need a noise removing software like noiseware, or noise ninja, ect. I get decent results with a sony f717, so your dslr should be much better. Give it a try and lets see. |
