I was away with my church camping for the weekend and there was a demo of gymnastics taking place at the same site so took a couple of shots. Did not have much time and could not get the best angles (also had the wrong lens on as I was a little close to the action)so this is the only shot that I was happy with.

What do you think?

Cool shot. That is different and I like it. I like the angle.

The only wierd thing is it appears there are quite visible artifacts along his arms and chest. Or maybe it's just an issue of the resized image.

In any event - I really like it!

Thanks John - you are right..... it is a lazy edit (I did it in about 3 mins which left some artifacts for the careful eye!). I was quite close to this and was shooting at 70mm f4 to get all of the gymnasts sharp but it did not take enough of the background out so masked the background and then applied some gaussian blur to add more punch. I should have taken a little more time but didn't and you caught me out!

No biggie. It's still a cool shot. What was exactly going on?

I was a demo of gymnastics including large groups, small groups, pairs (shown below), then runway, trampets etc. I didn't get to watch too much, but these youngsters were really good!
