Now this gym is something else. The school colors are black and orange. The walls of the gym are primarily orange, there are numerous orange banners hanging from the roof and the foul lane is orange. The lights are a type that have a blueish tint so getting colrs right is a real task.

Canon 30D, Sigma 28-70 F2.8 lens

ISO 1600 1/250 f 2.8 Manual Mode

nice work! have you tried to use a manual white balance? you are getting a fair shutter speed @ iso 1600!! do you have a post noise removal program? if so bump that baby up to 3200, and see what you get! but the white balance is key!

Timing is really nice, especially on #1 & #3. Exceptionally good shots considering the difficulty of the lighting.

I might have lightened a little more in post processing, but I agree with john on manual WB. It's the only chance you have in a gym like that.

Great timing! Man, what horrific conditions. Youve done well. I cant believe thats a HS gym. Our middle school gyms blow that "barn" away! Kudos to you.
