Looks as if you caught some good action
Your WB looks way off (yellowish tint) I would also try and get more faces, as facial expressions tell the story Thanks for sharing , Mark |

I agree with oldtime. You've caught good action but the faces are blocked in almost all of them - which kind of ruins the shots. The one shot where you have faces - waiting for the rebound - the faces are soft.
Your timing seems pretty good and I like your framing, but you seemed to have bad luck on most of these shots and had a hand in your way. Also as mentioned - white balance is off a little (although I don't think it's off by THAT much) - try setting a custom WB next time. Also, it looks like you've stripped the EXIF from these photos - can you please provide it? what gear and what settings were you using? What type of post processing did you do? They're all a bit soft and just wondering if you applied USM. |

Nice job Stoltzy. Im laughing right now cause Ive been/am where you are. It seems that Im just a milisecond off of having the perfect shot because a hand or an arm or the ball blocked the players' faces. I have found that shooting in continuous mode will help me get the shot right before or right after that arm goes up. I also agree with the custom WB. I preset a WB before every game from both ends of the court cause many times its slightly different. Get that right and you'll see a noticable improvent in the quality of your shots. You def have a good eye for the action andI really like the cropping also.
