Only managed to shoot one game this weekend as I was doing a wedding (check out the 3 threads in people photos) so here it is. Weather was not good, you can see the umbrella in the first shot.
Thanks, Mark 1 ![]() 2 ![]() 3 ![]() 4 ![]() 5 ![]() 6 ![]() 7 ![]() 8 ![]() |

Mark , very good action pictures, The lady in #6 almost look like she is aiming her shot with her right eye almost closed.

I really like 6 & 7.....6 because of the expression and 7 because of the overall picture of the action.....but I'm drawn to 4 . I think it had the potential to be the strongest of the shots because of the intensity of the action, however, because the ball and the keeper's faceare obscured, it's hard to tell if this is just a random collision or a match-saving dive.
As usual, all areincredibly crisp...thoroughly enjoyable. |

Being really picky with myself I was being a bit lazy at this match and should have been sitting on the floor rather than my stool but it was a bit damp so decided against it. If I had then 6 would have been an even better angle as I don't like looking down at the action...... hindsight is a wonderful thing LOL.
I think that 4 ended up being more of a collision after the ball had passed outside of the goal rather than being match winning. You can decide for yourself, butneither the keeper of the attacker reached the ball (it was close). ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I hadn't realised there was so little contrast in some of the shots.... I know the weather was bad but should have fixed them in post.... oops! |

Great series Mark. What rain gear do you use for your camera?

Usually sitting in the car works for me.... but if I do shoot it is only when it is light rain. I do have some Kata stuff but just find it gets in the way too much. If I want to stay out and it is a bit heavier then I will go for an umbrella and pop out when I want to shoot.
