I took my camera a long to a little league game. Here are the results.

Equipment for these photos:
Canon Eos 20D @400-800 ISO
400mm F/4 IS L
Bogen Monopod and ball head.
(sometimes usining) 1.4x Teleconverter.

amazing shots! #2 and #3 are my favorites, for different reasons. #3 captures an amazing moment, and #2 is a fantastic pose. well done!

Matthew,

3 & 4 are very nicely done. Great action on 3 and expression on 4 (although horizon is off in 4 - easily correctable).

On the pitcher shots - try shooting from the pitcher's open side - in this case the 3rd base line. You'll get much more of his face. In general shots of the backsides of players are less effective than the front.

Yeah,

I wanted to get it from the otherside, but I was hanging out with one of my third grade studnets I teach who was on the team (White Shirts) so I stood near his dugout.

Next week i'm going to take more Little League
