Nice photos, but I'm confused about the lens ident. Please confirm that this was a Canon "L" and not your Sigma, thanks. I must say that I liked the direction you were taking with the Sigma and hope that you keep working with that lens. Why are you using a Canon "L" lens? You are confusing me. I was more impressed with your Sigma photo. The exposure on these is okay, but details are lost in the contrast dark areas. You were doing great with that Sigma.
I just double checked, colors are definitely richer with the Canon, but one can ripen the colors in post processing. Out of camera stuff is difficult to make statements on because so much can be done in process. In any event, your photos are very nice indeed, and you deserve to be better. You've put in the hours! Nice job Andy.
Just trying it out. Not sure if I'm going to keep it. It came in handy today after shooting for4hours with the 120-300.No matter what I do, the 120-300 willbe the most used lens in my bag. Think I'm going back tomorrow and Sunday. Kind of nice living only about an hour away from there.
Jedi and Norm, thanks. The best part about shooting this... it's fun. I'm not (or at least wasn't) a fan of motosports, but this sure has given me a perspective. I was trying to shoot at 1/250 and 1/350. Can't do it. I'm going to stick with 1/500 for the most part today. Will post more..
