Very sharp, clear, great colour rendition. Lot's of old cars in racing trim. Haven't sen a Lotus Cortina, Falcon fastback for many a year. That Lotus Cortina looks to be in fabulous condition.

Thanks for the comments. The Cortina is owned by a friend of mineand is a GT with the 1600 kent engine with twinwebber carbs. It is in good condition and has been a race car for at least 10 years. It has just had the whole left hand side repaired after a major shunt at Winton earlier this year.

I'm in Western Canada (Prairies) and about 37 years ago a buddy of mine had a Cortina GT with twin Weber carbs...he also had a '65 Mustang , with a 289 V8 and he had installed three - 2bbl carbs , or Tri-Power as we called it then.
He was a Ford man through and through. The Cortina was very unusual out here. Also like the picture of the old BMW..looks like a 1600 or a 2002...can't be sure though , long time ago since I saw one last. Thanks for the trip down memory lane and adding additonal pictures of the Cortina. Your photos are very sharp...love the colour satuaration. |
