Great photos... Glad to see football season starting again, too...

I'm surprised to see that you're using an Canon FD to EOS Converter. I have an old FD 500mm F/4.5 lens that I would love to resurect on my digital EF cameras. Most people have told me over the years that it wasn't worth getting... plus I have never seen a Canon converter for sale.

How do you like it?

Where did you get it, if you don't mind my asking.

Thanks all,

The FD converter works great for me, as long as the old lens is a quality lens.

The 1,2, and 5th picture were taken with the 400mm.
I got the converter on Ebay, do a search for "FD to EOS"

Make sure that if you do bid on one, get the one that has optics/glass in it.

There are two kind, with and without optics. The one without optics, can focus but not to infinity. The one with optics CAN focus to infinity, and has much better clarity.

The converter will also add a 1.4x conversion factor to the lens. Along with that, you also have to consider the Digital conversion factor as well. I'm not sure of the math, but i believe that my 400mm is equal to about 520mm with the conversion factor. Also with the converter, you will lose about 1 stop of light

Hope this helps, but if you really want to use the old FD lenses on the EOS system, i would recomend the converter.

I also use a 135mm f/2.8 FD and 50mm 1.8 lens as well (from my father's old photography days)

P.S. after checking the current going rate on e-bay for the converter with optics is buy it now for $39.95 plus $8.00 shipping (United States Dollars)
