A few shots from the weekend in the city, 300 thousand people plus 30C heat made it a little difficult but I think I managed a few good shots

Just a thought, but maybe if the shutter speed weren't so fast, the propellers would not appear to have stopped.

I find that a bit distracting, but otherwise, these are great shots. It must have been fun to be there.

I went to a Blue Angels air show at the Patuxent Naval Air Station last year, but all I had was my P&S and the pictures did not turn out well.

Like the first shot - nice and sharp with good detail.

Prop planes make great subjects, but I agree - you need slower shutter speed to allow for the motion of the prop to show. Without motion it looks unnatural.
