Watched a bit of road racing at Olivers Mount last weekend and got the following.
Olivers Mount is a circut at Scarborough in Yorkshire and is all on public roads which are closed for the day. Best lap time was 80 MPH, scary. Lots of different classes, 1) Winners of the sidecars ![]() 2) an ER6, not the usual race bike! ![]() 3) ![]() 4) Ian Lougher, won every time he started, a great rider ![]() C&C Welcomed |

#1 is by far the best as you have the sharpness as well as a connection with them as you can see inside the helmets.
Can you please keep photos to about 700 pixels for the longest side then people using lower res (my work laptop for example) can still view them?! Thanks, Mark |

Nice action pictures. I love the sidecar pix. Good cornering shots...those guys are bendin' them bikes.
Nice shot of that Kawasaki getting some air under the front tire. The pictures are quite sharp, considering the speed the bikes reach. What equipment did you use, especially lens length. Any vintage or 'special' modified bikes on the track? If so could you post some shots. I enjoyed your pictorial presentation. Is Oliver's Mount uphill? |

But many long time motorcycle racing fans, like me, also like the motorcycle performance reflected in these pictures. Cornering stance, body english on the sidecars, popping the front wheel under acceleration....all convey images of action and give the viewer a sense of the racing. |

First one is excellent, the second is a bit OOF. The rest are very good as well.

Number 1 for me, gives a sense of 'being there in the thick of the action'
Good set of pics Steve |
