Great shots...really crisp and sharp. A friend of mine has a Canon 7D and a F 5.6 400 MM Canon L lens. He's very happy with his bird, BIF pix.

Did you use flash or just available light ? Morning , afternoon or evening shots ?

another good set Mark. Glad to see you're back into sports photography! I don't know much about the sport but what I do know is they're very particular about form and what is good vs. bad shot. So definitely something you want to research if you're going to shoot more of it - i.e. what looks like a great photo to us is frowned on because the horse or rider isn't showing good form. Still, a nice series.

LOL and I think in number 3 he would have liked a pause button just prior to hitting the deck.

Beautiful images, so nice and sharp and beautiful horses.

I got a good chuckle from #3.

I'm sure John is right about the sport/judging side of things. Some of these (other than 3 and 5) may have captured some fouls or errors in the sport but your pictures are terrific!

Mark,
..........I too am impressed with the quality of these photos and find the composition interesting in that the photos each tell a story of the moment.

Very well done.....
