Shot of me taken by my friend with my new sb24 on camera.

The action in the shot is decent. The biggest problem is the framing. You've cut off his hand, and a good 80% of the frame is filled up with boring background - house and cars. The color tone is a bit too warm for my tastes - I'd prefer a more natural temperature but that's completely subjective. The important question for you as you learn is: do you WANT that warm tone or are you just accepting what the camera is giving you? The flash is definitely going to help you out - no doubt about it. But you still need to think about framing first and foremost. The color temperature is something you have to learn about and experiment with as well. Keep at it! You'll get there.

Thanks for the advice but as I said. "This is a photo of ME taken by my friend(Not Me). He isn't a photographer. This is all my equipment and I set the settings. I told him I wanted to be on the side of the frame for something different. The hand cut is his fault but that's ok I guess. Lastly, I love warmer tones. I take the photo with the white balance on "Flash" but in editing I boost the saturation alot.
