While taking the other Xtreme ski shots, decided to play with the flash (3600HS) by going for a rear curtain shot. Took this at 1/4s, f14 with Sigma 70-200 f2.8 @ 70mm.
I wanted to try to capture some of the movement and energy of the skiers. Not sure if this has worked well or not (have nothing to compare it with). What do you think..... how could I improve next time? Thanks, Mark. |

I've see something like this done with a slower subject (a musician moving the neck of his guitar upward) It worked very well.
I think your subject is moving a bit fast for that, but the fact that you kept his face centered and recognizablemakes this a good and compelling image. I think a slower subject would be easier to do. |
