From the local college game. Canon 30D, Canon 70-300 USM IS, ISO 400, F/4.0 - 5.6 Shutter varied. C&C always welcome.

Some nice shots showing that you don't need f2.8 lenses to get usable shots in good light. I would say you have gone a little over the top with some of the sharpening.
I think #3 is my favorite with great lighting and timing, but its just tooooo sharp ![]() |

As usual good advice. I used a setting in Unsharp Mask of 100 and 1.0 for all shots. I have found my Canon 70-300 USM IS f/4.0-5.6 lens is a good work horse for outdoor sports shots. Thanks again. |

Nice shots!
Another objective is to capture the eyes of the subjects. You did that well in the first shot. |
