My dad took this of me going off a small drop over reading week. All comments are appreciated.
I adjusted it in photoshop and sharpened it.

I couldn't see your picture, so I re-hosted it.

Now, sorry to hijack your picture (and if you take offense to this I'd be happy to take it down) but I saw more potential in this picture.

It's a great capture that just needs a little bit more work in PhotoShop in my opinion.

Here's what I came up with

Once again, if you don't like the fact that I edited your picture and reposted it I'd be willing to take the picture down.

No offense taken, I like seeing other peoples ideas. Thanks.

Are you asking me?

If so, I added the blue sky with a gradient and sharpened the snowboarder.

nice picture! good job in PS , JaroDefer! how did you get the sky to get inbetween the tree branches and stuff? you didn't just quick mask did you? (that would take hours lol)

Now I feel really bad for taking over this thread.

I used the magic wand selector to select the sky. It took a lot of selections added together to get to the point that I wanted. Then I used the lasso tool to clean up the selections a little bit.

It took a few tries to get it right though. I had to play with the sensitivity of the magic wand so that the selections didn't get too broad or too narrow.

Since the sky was nearly the same color as the snow I had a really difficult time determining what was sky showing through the trees and what was snow sitting on the branches. If you look closely you can find some places that are currently sky, but should be snow and vise-versa.

ok thanks :) i have done a couple of things requiring selecting around trees (exept it wasn't at all near a solid color lol)

i can PM you it or post it to show you it.....i was trying to make a unpaved driveway looked paved (a project for my church)
it looked fake but was kinda hard to do.....

I spent some time in photoshop and added a sky taken from another picture. I selected the sky using magic wand and the lasso tool, then used paste into to replace the sky. I also duplicated the layer containing me, then erased all but the snowboarder on one layer, adjusted curves for the snowboarding, then adjusted the other layer for the trees and snow. The only problem is trying to get rid of the line where the sky and trees meet.
