Nice capture. Just a shame that the whites are blown out. I find that when shooting sports it helps to under expose a little to retain the whites in kits.

Yup, just a tad overexposed.

You could probably take the exposure down by a stop after the fact using software.

Nice timing on that one. Very cool expression on the goalie.

I agree with the comments here. Nice capture, very sharp and interesting but a tad blown out.

Wow, didn't know that they had head protection for Soccer now too. Good picture by the way, as mentioned by the others a little over exposed.

There's a good deal of controversy on headgear. I think it's good for keepers, because they can bang their skulls on goal posts. Ironically, tests during heading shows that acceleration of the skull actually increases with the headgear.

That, you do not want.

My daughter will never wear it, until they figure out a way to make it safer.

Here in Massachusetts, they are considering outlawing heading of the ball in high school, based on studies of the long term affects on the brain.

It would be a weird game without heading, as the corner kick would lose it's meaning to some degree.

However, if it's safety of the kids at heart, the certainly it's worth taking a look at.

Long-time soccer players do have some EEG changes, but the significance of these is not known. No detectable neurological deficits have been shown to occur.

Once I was going for a header on a ball booted out of goal when I was bumped off balance. It hit me square on the top of the head, and I saw stars.

That can't be good.
