Really good to see you getting out and trying new things and you've done well especially in 3 and 4.

In 2 you had very difficult lighting and there are different things you could have gone for these being, silhouette, fill flash to balance exposure, blown background. Unfortunately I don't think it quite falls into any of them so for me it is not as strong as it could have been. I personally like the semi high key feel of the riders being correctly exposed and blowing the background (assuming this were for only a single image), the nicest for a lot of shots would be to use fill flash to reduce the dynamic range of the shot and then you would have a great background and correctly exposed riders...... oh you would need a powerful external flash for this :-)

hi mark,

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"thank you! i am trying to get familiar with this camera. and i am learning about lighting with my job( which is a blast!! i'm actually getting paid to take pictures!), so i agre with everything you have said. i will get a flash after i get used to this camera.

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"hi DRGSin,

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"its really alot of fun, and a big challenge, because when you get bored with the 125 - 200 shutter speed range, you will want to slow it down even more, because it is a challenge! i know that is too slow, but its fun!
