Nice job, Frank!
I told the wife I'll be looking for an "outdoors" sports lens come fall... I'll have to put that one on my list of lens to check into... ![]() |

Thank you,
Normally I shoot from the seating area now I decided to take my place at the goalmouth and I must say  that REALLY makes a difference, so I will be sitting there more. Greetings, Frank |

Frank, these are excellent shots and a fitting tribute to what Sigma is capable of. I checked your site (great photos!) for exif info on these sorts of shots but couldn't find too much excepting ISO and lens used. Could you please fill me in on the following:
- were you using a tripod? (probably not, but I need to ask) - shutter speed? (average if not specific) - I'm assuming that your ISO was 400 (from your samples on your website), am I assuming correctly on the above photos? - did you have IS "on" and, if so, did image stabalization help you in any way with the soccer shots? If so, please elaborate just a bit. Thanks for your shots and your input. Cool stuff indeed, sharp and the expressions are great (even the blurred background expressions add to the overall mood). |

Hi,
I normally never use a tripod. The OS was on mode 1 (total, mode 2 is panning). Shutterspeed was arround 1/500 wide open so 5.0 or 5.6 and ISO200. Greetings, Frank |
