The Nikon set up which was 2x D3, 400mm, 70-200mm, 24-105mm, 1.4 Ext and Flash was going to cost $25,000...
The Canon set up which we have gone with is 2x 1D, 400mm, 70-200mm, 24-105 (went this way as per Johns suggestion and a mates comment), 1.4 TC and Flash which has cost $20,000. Cant break my bonds with Canon their is just too much history there and also my cousins father in-law shoots Canon for National Geo in Japan and said he would send me some gear when he's done with it ![]() Will post a photo once it all arrives. Matt

make sure you register with canon professional services after buying. speeds up repairs and also replacement equipment or loaner equipment (so you can try out new gear before buying).

Wow that's a big layout for a new Mag?, does that apply to all 3 photographers? I didn't know the mag was so big in the northern territories

But help me out; I am surprised at the 24-105mm f4. I would have expected an f2.8 like the 24-70mm. Granted the flash could be used but not in all situations. Why the f4 and not a 2.8? |

The other 2 photographers are older blokes just doing it as a real hobby and following a team around cause their son or daughter plays in that team etc. Otherwise they do jobs I cant do. But yeh the mag is getting bigger and the word is being spread.

Innitially I went for a 15mm fisheyebut decided against it. As you can see John has suggest to 24-70 or even 24-105. Another forum suggested the 24-105 and a mate said it was the best way to go seeing as I also have a flash and diffuser where need be.
